Frequently Asked Questions
Why is detailing my vehicle important?

If you want to have your car looking its best all the time, resell for more money, and give you that “I care about my car” look, then you need to detail it. Dirt and grime will not build up in the interior, and the paint will not fade, peel, and crack from neglect. The better you maintain and keep your car in a like new condition, the longer it will stay in that condition! “It’s easier to maintain than it is to fix!”
How often should I have my vehicle detailed?

I recommend the following detailing schedule for a car that will look like new for years to come:
1. Wash the car once a week (if possible). Do not take your vehicle to those drive through express car washes.
2. Add layer of Carnauba Wax to your vehicle every two months.
3. Clay bar, polish, and add sealant to your vehicle every 6 months.
4. Detail the interior every other month or three months depending on its driving use, more if it’s used every day with lots of people, eating within occurs, etc.
Preventative Maintenance is key when it comes to preserving your vehicle, so by keeping to a schedule, your car should stay looking new for as long as you own the car! Your 5 year old car will look better than a lot of brand new cars on the road today!
Do you asses the vehicle with me prior to detailing, give estimates?
YES, this is a very important step in order to ensure that we both have an understanding between each other regards price, expectations, wants and timing. Some cars can take just 2 hours, some 4 hours, and others can take more. It all really depends on your vehicles condition. An estimate allows both of us to talk things over and get on the same page as to what you want to accomplish with any detailing service. Give me a call for more info. I can go to you, and we can go over it together and point out what can and cannot be done.
What is a Sealant or Carnauba Wax?
Carnauba Wax (Natural)
The preferred car wax of collectors and concours enthusiasts because it creates a rich, warm glow. It doesn’t appear to sit on the paint. It transforms the paint into a deep, liquid pool that shimmers under changing light conditions. It appeals to people who want the absolute most stunning show car shine available.
Pros - Natural deep, rich wet look. Good for those who are looking for a show car finish!
Cons - Burns off at around 100°F, and only lasts about 4-8 weeks.
Sealant (Synthetic)
A paint sealant is made of polymers, which are composed of tens of thousands of synthetic particles that are linked together. When a sealant bonds to your vehicle’s paint, it forms a rigid shell protecting your vehicle for up to 6 months, or more! It is suited for people who want maximum protection for their vehicle.
Pros - Acid rain, industrial pollution, road grime, and UV rays cannot penetrate the tough barrier so your vehicle is less likely to incur water spots, fading, oxidation, and general contamination. It is harder to remove and can last up to 6 months.
Cons – It doesn’t provide the Carnaubas Wax natural deep, rich wet look.
